Mental Health Advocacy Through Lived Experience

Gen’s Superpower
She has a rare ability to take deeply personal experiences with mental illness and transform them into a source of strength—not just for herself, but for countless others. Making others feel seen, safe, and understood, especially in moments when they need it most. Whether through storytelling, public speaking, or simply showing up with compassion, Genevieve leads with authenticity and reminds people that healing is not only possible—it's something to be proud of.

About Voices of Hope
VoH is a New Zealand-based mental health charity, co-founded in 2017 by Genevieve Mora and Jazz Thornton, both of whom have personal experience with mental illness. Driven by a passion for storytelling and content creation, they launched Voices of Hope to change the way we talk about mental health—using authentic, powerful stories to spark empathy, understanding, and connection.

What started as a grassroots initiative has grown into a global community, amplifying the voices of those who’ve walked through mental health challenges and come out the other side. Through impactful digital campaigns, videos, and real-life stories, Voices of Hope offers hope to individuals who may feel isolated or overwhelmed.
